For Users: How to earn ranks?

How do you get into certain colleges and societies, things of that nature? I mean, is intellect a factor? Number of posts?

A: Simple, you don't. You get placed into them based on the content you post. Well, that's true for most of the ranks. Societies are the exception, in which you apply via contacting the Group Leader. Essentially, just post. It'll happen. It's called 'Freedom' for a reason, you know.

While this is somewhat true, you're essentially wrong. You can placed into certain groups, but you CAN also request. The Group Leaders, while active, don't acknowledge everyone they see doing the right thing, and sometimes you just have to reach out.
